We’ve been hard at work on our next project with Marvel Studios and are excited to share the official announcement of “What If…? – An Immersive Story,” the first-ever interactive Disney+ Original story coming exclusively to Apple Vision Pro.

Step inside the Multiverse like never before and have the chance to dive into a narrative-driven and innovative story in mixed reality.

Our partners at Marvel were given a first look at the hour-long immersive experience, speaking with our director and executive producer Dave Bushore and Shereif M. Fattouh, who produced the experience and is an executive producer here at ILM Immersive. You can learn more about what you can expect when the app launches on Apple Vision Pro in that interview:
If you aren’t familiar with “What If…?,” the franchise reimagines events from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe in new and unexpected ways. Now, in this experience, you have been chosen to step into the leading role of a new and immersive story that will transform the space around you as you traverse across realities. You will come face-to-face with Multiversal variants of some of your favorite characters, learn the mystic arts, and even learn how to harness the power of the Infinity Stones as you continue along your journey.

Step Into The Multiverse

Utilizing the revolutionary spatial computing capabilities of Apple Vision Pro, “What If…? – An Immersive Story” will deliver a technologically advanced experience. You’ll get to cross between augmented and virtual reality as you live out your narrative adventure, interacting with the world around you by using your eyes and hands. You’ll also step into breathtaking environments that will place you in new and iconic MCU locations, and completely immerse you with stunning visuals and spatial audio. Together, these features will remind you that time, space, and reality are more than a linear path.
To ensure that this project was authentic to what you know and love about “What If…?,” we worked closely with Brad Winderbaum, executive producer of the Disney+ Original series, and Bryan Andrews, director of the series. We also worked with series composer Laura Karpman, Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning composer who you may recognize from “American Fiction” and “The Marvels,” to deliver an incredible spatial audio score that really places you within the story.
