Ahead of next week’s launch of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition on PlayStation VR2, we’re excited to share our official trailer that debuted today exclusively on StarWars.com. Check it out below to learn of multiple, growing threats that lurk in the wilds of Batuu with new villains like First Order commanding officer Lt. Gauge; Guavian Death Gang cell leader Tara Rashin; and tyrant Baron Attsmun.
The official trailer also shares a glimpse of what you can expect while playing through the three Tales that Seezelslak, who is voiced by Bobby Moynihan, will recount to you while you’re at his cantina. In these fabled stories, you’ll get to use lightsaber and Force gameplay while living out the story of Padawan-turned-Jedi Ady Sun’Zee, in “Temple of Darkness” and “The Sacred Garden.” In “The Bounty of Boggs Triff,” you’ll battle your way up an enemy-ridden skyscraper on Nar Shaddaa, as you try to recover a bounty for Neeva, while playing as the class four assassin droid IG-88. Each Tale – in addition to spanning different eras and places in a galaxy far, far away – offers a unique gameplay style and tone for you to explore.
If you’re looking to head straight to Batuu when the experience launches February 22 on PS VR2, pre-orders are available now on the PlayStation Store! And, for the collectors out there, we’ll be releasing the Enhanced Edition on physical disc globally on April 7 via Perp Games. A list of retailers will be available soon so be sure to check back with us.
The Enhanced Edition, which will be released exclusive to PS VR2, has been rebuilt to include new high-fidelity visuals, feedback that can be felt in the headset, adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on the PS VR2 Sense controllers, rich 3D audio to surround you in dynamic soundscapes, and much more.
