Founded in 2015, ILMxLAB was established at the Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM)office at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in the Presidio, San Francisco. Paving the way in the immersive space with our original, award-winning work, our studio is known for extended home VR storytelling like Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge and the multiple award-winning Vader Immortal VR story series, location-based experiences like CARNE y ARENA, the Oscar-winning collaboration with Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Legendary Entertainment, Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, and Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Damage Control.
